16th January 2004 Windsurfing: Ynyslas Estuary Wind Direction: WNW Wind Stength: 14-18 knots Surf / Sea State: Flat Air Temperature: 6ºC Sea Temperature: 9ºC Weather: Cloudy Max Speed: Distance Covered: An average session in the estuary. Couldn't decide whether to kitesurf or windsurf, but plumped for windsurfing. In the end it was Ok, nicely powered up out by the point, but not enough wind in the lee of the dunes. Just flat water blasting, nothing too exciting. At one point I sailed across to Aberdovey, but when I got there the wind dropped and I had to wobble back. Shem was going to go kite-surfing but wimped out and went kite-mt-boarding instead. Craig was out in his buggy. |
